About The Position

This role will play a key part in continuing to uphold our reputation and providing exceptional service to our guests. We are seeking new members to join our Color Landscape team, to assist in the installation and maintenance of our property’s annual flowers, perennials, interior plants. The team also constructs and maintains several hundred flower pots and hanging baskets. If you have a keen attention to detail, experience and passion for being outdoors and maintaining foliage, this might be the position you have been looking for. Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree, preferably with one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required as this person will need to drive across and on/off property for job related tasks.
  • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs. with assistance) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.

Responsibilities

  • Plant annual and perennial flowers and small shrubs.
  • Maintain interior foliage plants.
  • Water flower pots and baskets using a manual watering device.
  • Weed flower beds.
  • Trim and shape flowers in pots and baskets.
  • Install and remove various containers of flowers.
  • Prune roses, shrubs and small trees.
  • Rototill and grade the flower beds.
  • Operate a mulching mower and other similar motorized equipment.
  • Plant identification.
  • Assist in general grounds cleanup and snow removal.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
