Job Title: Collision Technician – Jersey City, NJ Reports To: Operations Manager Scope: This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing damaged motor coaches and other commercial vehicles. Salary Range: $40-$47.50 per hour This information reflects the proposed base salary range for this position based on available data. Minimums And maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is determined by additional factors including job related skills, experience, applicable education or training and other relevant factors.

Requirements

  • In the role of Collision Technician, it requires good organizational skills to include the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames
  • Employee must possess the tools necessary to complete assigned responsibilities
  • Experience with post pulling jack
  • Must have welding experience or certification in a welding program and knowledge of laser alignment procedures
  • Previous experience in a collision/frame shop and or collision related education
  • Must be a self-starter and possess a positive attitude
  • Must have good attendance
  • Must be willing to travel, with possible work on the weekends/overtime
  • Ability to frequently move items weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time throughout shift
  • To be hired, all candidates must submit to a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, diagnoses, repairs and refurbishes motorcoaches, commercial and non-commercial vehicles and other vehicles, both towed and driven
  • Understands and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations applicable to operations, buildings, grounds, and personnel including EPA, OSHA, and DOT
  • Specific duties and responsibilities are determined by individual collision technician training, certification, knowledge, skill, and experience
  • Other Duties and responsibilities as assigned
