The Collision Estimator at Kaizen Collision Center plays a crucial role in the operations department, primarily responsible for assessing vehicles for collision-related damage. This position requires a thorough examination of vehicles to document the necessary time and effort required to restore them to their pre-accident condition, adhering to both Kaizen Collision Center standards and the guidelines set forth by insurance partners. The Collision Estimator will engage with customers, guiding them through the repair process, which includes explaining insurance claims, processing, and payment procedures. This role is vital in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining strong communication to achieve positive Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) results. In addition to customer interaction, the Collision Estimator will complete the vehicle intake process, which involves mapping damage, photographing vehicles, and maintaining accurate documentation. The estimator will prepare estimates and supplements based on the damage assessed, including any additional damage discovered during the repair process. A key aspect of this role is to follow Direct Repair Program (DRP) compliance, ensuring that all insurance carrier guidelines are met throughout the repair process. The Collision Estimator will also support the general manager in managing production, which includes routing repairs, handling paperwork, scheduling, monitoring repair progress, negotiating repair times, and coordinating sublet work. Quality assurance is another critical responsibility, as the estimator must ensure that all repairs meet Kaizen Collision Center's quality standards before the vehicle is delivered to the customer. Maintaining real-time accuracy of assigned work files and reconciling them for customer delivery and file closure is essential. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed, and job duties may be adjusted based on business needs or management discretion.
