About The Position

Primary Function: Under the direction and supervision of the Production Manager, this position is responsible for repairing, restoring or replacing damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards, and policies of Willis Automotive.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training program preferred
- One year experience performing body repair preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information including vendor catalogs
- Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by company insurance provider
- Ability to operate standard and manual transmissions
- Working knowledge of proper use of hand tools, power tools and other machinery
- Ability to demonstrate above-average mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of computer and Internet programs
- Ability to perform complex problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Review damage reports and plan work
- Inspect cars for structural damage, additional damage and report supplements to assigned estimator
- Remove damaged body parts, including bumpers, fenders, hoods, grills and trim
- Hammer out or patch dents, dimples and other minor body damage
- Fit and attach parts into place
- Complete post-repair inspection following standard operating procedures
- Maintain a clean work area; apply dust control, remove trash, spray down floor, etc.
- Assist other technicians with related work as needed
- Execute relocation of cars per Snow Plan as needed
