The Estimator is responsible for generating the gross sales of the company’s business. He/she must have complete knowledge of estimating and the claims process. He/she must also possess excellent negotiating, sales, and communication skills. The Estimator must possess a positive attitude with customers and employees and portray a professional business image. This position involves a great deal of contact with the public. For this reason, they must be friendly, accommodating, cheerful, well-groomed, and helpful. These qualities are essential to achieve an acceptable closing ratio and customer satisfaction index (CSI). As the old saying goes, “You never get a second chance to make a first impression.” Following, but not limited to, are the duties and responsibilities of the Collision Center Estimator:
