About The Position

The 2026 GAYLOR ELECTRIC SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM is designed for college students, providing meaningful career growth opportunities. The program offers access to industry-leading technical skill development and professionalism training. Over the past three years, Gaylor Electric has welcomed students from over 70 high school and collegiate institutions. With more than 200 students participating in the summer program, interns are placed across various national Gaylor Electric locations and job sites. Throughout the summer, students will have access to resume development, interview preparation, discussions on business best practices, and professional headshots. The experience culminates with an academic capstone presentation or craft skills assessment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Architectural, Electrical, Civil, or Construction), Occupational Health & Safety, Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, or related fields.
• Demonstrated purpose, resolve, and determination.
• Ability to positively impact and influence others.
• Strong work ethic and accountability.
• Customer-focused with a team spirit and collaborative mindset.
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in hands-on real-world experiences related to your field of study.
• Engage in professional development activities such as resume building and interview preparation.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to projects in various roles including Field, Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering, BIM/VDC, Safety, and Corporate functions.
• Present an academic capstone project or complete a craft skills assessment at the end of the internship.
