About The Position

The Gaylor Electric Summer Internship Program offers college students a meaningful opportunity for career growth, combining access to industry-leading technical skill development and world-class professionalism training. Over the past three years, the program has welcomed students from over 70 high school and collegiate institutions. With over 200 students participating, interns are placed across various national Gaylor Electric locations and job sites. Throughout the summer, students will have access to resume development, interview preparation, discussions on business best practices, and professional headshots. The experience culminates with an academic capstone presentation or craft skills assessment. Gaylor Electric’s internship programming provides opportunities for construction career exploration, honing technical skills, and robust professionalism. Interns will develop skills in positions related to their academic field of study while curating their professional resumes, interview habits, networking skills, and professionalism approaches. The program is an 8-to-10-week paid opportunity that allows students to expand their knowledge outside of the classroom and apply concepts from their major field of study.
