About The Position

KP College Pipeline Internship. The intern will have responsibility from beginning to end for at least one project within the assigned department, with difficulty increasing each year. The intern will make a presentation on project progress to members of their department or medical center, attend assigned meetings, and complete a self-assessment for end-of-summer evaluation discussions. The intern will learn and apply the format and procedure for documenting work-related expenses, completing and submitting forms for approval, and will complete expense reports if applicable. The intern will meet all criteria of Kaiser Permanente and assume other activities and responsibilities as directed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Must be accepted by KP College Pipeline Internship Program.
  • Enrolled in college in good standing.
  • Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
  • Take responsibility for at least one project from beginning to end within the assigned department.
  • Make a presentation on project progress to department members or medical center staff.
  • Attend assigned meetings.
  • Complete a self-assessment for end-of-summer evaluation discussions.
  • Learn and apply the format and procedure for documenting work-related expenses.
  • Complete and submit forms for approval.
