Seeking a highly motivated undergraduate research assistant with strong interdisciplinary interests in data science and artificial intelligence. Ideal candidates should have foundational experience in programming (e.g., Python), data analysis, and machine learning, and a curiosity about applying computational methods to diverse domains such as biology, psychology, and medicine. Candidates are expected to have prior research experience and one or more peer-reviewed publications. This position is open to those who are planning to enroll in the Penn State Ph.D. in Informatics program this Fall semester. Selected assistant will have work closely with faculty and graduate students on cutting-edge research, with opportunity for authorship on academic publications. Research responsibilities may include data preprocessing, literature reviews, running experiments, and contributing to prototype development or analysis pipelines. Will be working with Dr. James Wang for 12 weeks. 7 hours a during academic year and 20 hours a week during summer.
