About The Position

This is a paid internship program. Intern will perform professional work related to public procurement and contracts as well as providing quality assurance of contract data in IT systems. This internship will provide an opportunity to develop skills relevant for entry-level positions for public procurement and contracts. Specifically, the intern will spend time understanding the elements and data associated with different types of District contract and procurement actions and verifying this data is accurate within the District’s contract and procurement system.

Requirements

• College or university student currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program and either attending classes or participating in a work experience program sanctioned by the individual school and at least a junior level studying in a related field.
• All students must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

• perform professional work related to public procurement and contracts

• verifying this data is accurate within the District’s contract and procurement system
• produce report/presentation to highlight accomplishments
