About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Student Intern to join our finance team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounts payable processes and financial operations within a dynamic work environment. This is a year-round paid opportunity for a student working. The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department's needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 29.5 hours per week maximum. Applicant must be enrolled and attending a minimum of six (6) college credits per semester (100+ level courses). Pay rate is $19.10 per hour for an undergraduate intern and $21.15 per hour for a graduate intern.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval.
• Enter and maintain financial data in accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files and records.
• Assist in generating accounts payable reports and summaries for management review.
