About The Position

Aug Prep is more than a school, it's a community where excellence, faith, and holistic education come together. We’re not only about high standards but also creating a place where people love to grow, learn, and inspire! We currently serve over 2,400 K4-12 students in our ninth year at our South Campus. We are thrilled to launch our North Campus in the 26-27 school year, initially serving about 300 students in grades K4-6 and 9. In This Role, You will: connect students and families to resources and opportunities that promote the pursuit of, and persistence through, best-fit postsecondary pathways.

Requirements

  • A belief in the ability of every child and a commitment to ensure excellence for each student.
  • A bachelor's degree (Master’s degree a plus, state teaching license not required); additionally, any requirement needed for our accreditation standards.
  • Active participation in a Christian church
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Lastly and most important, the candidate must demonstrate and possess the highest integrity, and be able to live the values, beliefs, and culture of St. Augustine Prep

Responsibilities

  • Identify and steward resources and partnerships for college going experiences (summer programs, field trips, guest speakers, mentorships, and participation in other programs like METS).
  • Build a network of college and community organizations that know our students’ abilities and value.
  • Work in tandem with faculty and administration to ensure that the college and career program is aligned to the school’s larger strategic/school plan.
  • Support and advise students in college and career exploration, academic progress, and life skills development - emphasis on 1:1 advising in Middle School.
  • Create and carry out an annual college & career family engagement plan related to key initiatives and deliverables.
  • Ensure timely student submission of all program application materials to the appropriate entity.
  • Coordinate all efforts with faculty and administration.
  • Create and facilitate parent and student college knowledge group sessions, workshops, and college visits.
  • Plan, organize and facilitate college fairs, tours, and ‘college going’ activities as well as organize and lead visits from postsecondary education entities on campus.
  • Maintain an accurate record of college and career exploration trends, program participation, activities, deliverables, events and expectations for faculty, administration, and parents.
  • Maintain positive and productive relationships, focused on collective problem-solving processes, in order to create, support, and sustain an environment conducive to optimal learning.
  • Leverage data systems like SchooLinks to track and maintain records on individual students including 1:1 meeting notes, event attendance, student career goals, etc.
  • Analyze each student's graduating class and entire school transcript data to provide information on general trends, areas of focus, and school wide ‘wins’ to best advise students, teachers, and school leaders.
