About The Position

Grace Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and organized College Counselor to guide students in their college and career planning within a Christ-centered environment. This role supports students and families through academic planning, college admissions, dual enrollment, and career exploration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor ’s degree required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and relational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Committed Christian faith and alignment with the mission of the school.
  • Must have a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and a lifestyle of biblical integrity.
  • Must be an active member of a local church.
  • Fully supportive of the decisions and loyal to the mission and leadership of the school and Grace Baptist Church.
  • Passion for connecting with teachers, students, and families to support student/ teacher success within a Christian environment.

Nice To Haves

  • counseling or education background preferred.
  • Experience in school counseling or college advising preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a comprehensive college and career readiness program for high school students.
  • Manage dual enrollment processes including applications, registration, and grants.
  • Write counselor recommendation letters and assist students with essays and applications.
  • Research and communicate scholarship opportunities and deadlines.
  • Manage Scoir platform for student data, applications, and college planning.
  • Meet regularly with students and families to provide guidance and support.
  • Organize college visits, fairs, and career exploration events.
  • Support student-athletes with eligibility, transcripts, and recruitment needs.
  • Collaborate with faculty, administration, and external partners.
  • Maintain a strong, visible presence on campus and build meaningful student relationships.
  • Utilize Google platforms (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Classroom, and Drive) to organize data, communicate, and streamline processes
  • Coordinate and administer AP and ACT exams, ensuring compliance with testing protocols and effective communication with students and families
