Provide onsite resources for college bound students and those weighing college and career options. Provide career counseling resources for high school students and create a bridge for the transition between high school and first time in college. Collaborate with ISD partners to improve college and career readiness and serve as liaisons to dual credit enrollment and student services. This role involves developing and delivering college academic counseling and career guidance to students on their high school campus, assisting with career self-evaluation, educating students and parents about college admissions, and providing ongoing college and career counseling. The counselor will also advise dual credit students on program planning, course selection, transferability, and support academically at-risk students. Key responsibilities include researching degree plans, transfer guides, labor market trends, and maintaining current information for students. The position requires establishing positive relationships with local institutions and serving as a liaison between high school staff and Collin College, while maintaining student record confidentiality.
