The Division of Administration Bureau of Operation/Health Police Unit oversees, directs, and promotes DOHMH employees, clients, visitors, and properties throughout NYC areas on a 24/7 basis. In meeting the growing needs and demands of the agency, this Unit requires adequate resources and manpower to perform these services in an effective and efficient manner. Under supervision, the College Aide will be responsible for providing a variety office and administrative assignments to meet the programs goals and objectives.

  • File and organize official documents, as needed.
  • Assist Command staff with general administrative work.
  • Assist the handling of the HP overtime canvass when needed.
  • Update and add new directives to the HP New Hire manual as needed.
  • File/organize personnel files, create overtime canvass, and track special details.
  • Maintain monthly calendars, input/organize lost/found items, receive mail/packages and storage room upkeep.
  • Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.
  • Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and able to conduct presentations.
  • Great organization skills
  • Ability to communicate well.
  • Ability to write and proofread documents.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Able to multitask.
