About The Position

ATS is seeking a qualified Collective Trainer / Systems Instructor to provide Virtual Battlespace training and instruction. The instructor shall instruct students in the theoretical and practical aspects covering the subjects being taught; utilize direct teaching methods; supervise practical work carried out by students and assist them at points of difficulty. Provide Individual training/small unit training on VBS, on fielded Army Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) and to operate Battle Simulation Workstations to include teaching and mentoring on Low Overhead Training System (LOTS), the Division Exercise Training and Review System (DXTRS) and the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) as needed. Support to Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) shall include integrated individual and collective Mission Command (MC) staff training and exercises via live, virtual and constructive modeling and simulations for home station, mission planning and rehearsal, and pre-deployment training ranging from platoon up to Combined Joint Task Forces (CJTF) levels with its Areas of Operations, to include Constructive and Gaming/VBS support to Title 10 Army training, Joint Training Plan (JTP), Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) engagement plan, Mission Rehearsals, Joint Interagency, Intergovernmental and Multinational (JIIM), and other multinational training are critical support elements for JBSA.

Requirements

  • 4 years relevant military experience operating VBS and MCIS.
  • Have demonstrated experience operating a minimum of one other MCIS.
  • Be certified as an instructor in accordance with (IAW) the government approved certification program.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft O365 and Microsoft Teams.
  • Requires a Secret Security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom instruction as the Primary Instructor for VBS and at least 1 MCIS system and be capable of serving as an Assistant Instructor on other systems.
  • Provide mentorship and over-the-shoulder assistance to Soldiers using VBS, MCIS and BSWS during exercises.
  • Perform routine maintenance, to include clearing systems of exercise and training data after events are complete.
  • Configure classrooms and exercise areas for exercises, training and events, and reconfigure such after training is complete.
  • Respond to and resolve routine questions and technical issues.
  • Provide checks on learning and assist in After Action Reviews and Hot Washes.
