Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • 1-5 years’ experience working in the water or wastewater industry or related fields.
  • Experience in a construction or utility related field, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Valid MA Grade II or higher Collection System Operator License or ability to acquire within one year.
  • Valid MA Driver’s license and the ability to meet risk management guidelines.
  • Valid MA Driver’s license, CDL Class 'B' w/Hydraulics License/Endorsement or ability to acquire within one year.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment systems, processes, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of wastewater regulations, requirements & reporting.
  • Knowledge of proper Environmental, Health and Safety policies, procedures, and requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Operate complex controls, processes, and equipment related to water and wastewater treatment.
  • Maintain and repair equipment as needed.
  • Read, interpret, and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, and computer consoles.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems, providing input for corrective actions.
  • Work closely with customers to ensure professional and courteous service.
  • Collaborate with local contractors and vendors.
