About The Position

The Collections Specialist at Smart Care Solutions is responsible for managing the collection of assigned Accounts Receivable (A/R) to protect the company's financial assets. This role involves actively following up on past due customer accounts, ensuring that all balances are researched and resolved efficiently. The Collections Specialist will engage in account reconciliations, handle unapplied payments, and resolve disputes to ensure proper application of payments. A key aspect of this position is to encourage timely payments from customers to prevent accounts from becoming delinquent. In addition to managing customer accounts, the Collections Specialist will collaborate closely with the Sales department to keep client accounts updated and accurate. This includes resolving customer disputes and making reasonable efforts to extend credit while promoting sales. The role also requires coordinating and leading Monthly Collection Reviews with Sales Managers and their teams, providing direction and support while maintaining excellent communication across various divisions, including sales, billing, and dispatch. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for accurately completing the monthly A/R reporting package and may be assigned additional duties as needed. This position is crucial for maintaining the financial health of Smart Care Solutions and ensuring that customer relationships are managed effectively.
