Collections Manager

Viking Client Services, a leading debt recovery agency, is currently seeking a Collections Team Manager for our Eden Prairie headquarters. This role involves managing daily functions related to billing and collections to optimize effectiveness and achieve organizational goals. The Collections Team Manager will provide leadership that fosters positive employee relations, teamwork, and operational efficiency. This position requires effective management of staff to ensure that performance standards are established, measured, and continuously improved through training and development across various verticals including financial services, subrogation, auto, and medical collections. In this role, you will be responsible for distributing accounts and claims to staff, addressing consumer complaints, and preparing accounts for closure. You will also prepare, post, and monitor team goals while staying informed about new federal and state laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Developing professionalism through employee involvement and encouraging creativity among team members is essential. Evaluating employee performance to identify areas for improvement, conducting performance evaluations, and communicating performance deficiencies in accordance with company practices are key responsibilities. Additionally, you will monitor employee attendance, review time-off requests, and handle various personnel administrative functions. Conducting employee and group meetings to provide updates and address questions, resolving conflicts and concerns, and ensuring effective communication within the team are also part of your duties. A strong understanding of multiple client verticals and collection software, along with the ability to train new and existing employees, is crucial for success in this position.
