About The Position
Berkshire Hathaway GUARD is looking for a Collections Intern to join our Collections department and support the day-to-day operations that help keep our organization financially strong. This internship offers hands-on exposure to a fast-paced business environment where you’ll learn foundational business skills while making meaningful contributions to real work. The Collections department plays a critical role in the insurance lifecycle by ensuring premium payments are received accurately and on time. The team partners closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage policy payment status, support customer accounts, and help maintain the company’s overall financial health. Strong collections processes help keep policies in good standing—so our customers stay protected and our business continues to grow. As a Collections Intern, you’ll work alongside experienced professionals and support a variety of operational and administrative tasks, including:
Requirements
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program in business administration, finance or related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- A collaborative mindset and comfort working in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Updating and maintaining Collection Agency status on policies
- Communicating policy information to external vendors
- Assisting with day-to-day activities and special projects as needed
