About The Position

This position is a part time term position (six months) jointly aiding digitization and curation efforts across the Botanical Collections. The position is in direct synergy with large scale digitization efforts of flowering plants as well as bryophytes and lichens.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Some experience in botany or collections work

Nice To Haves

• Digital photography experience
• Databasing skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel and spreadsheets
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team and independently
• Previous collections experience in a museum or similar institution

Responsibilities

• Filing and refiling large quantities of flowering plant specimens in preparation for digitization
• Assisting in the bryophyte and lichen digitization project
• Curation of specimens
• Databasing specimens
• Paying careful attention to detail
