About The Position

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a Collections Analyst/Specialist to support the AR team with reducing the AR aging balance. The ideal candidate for this position is exceedingly well-organized, sociable, and independent. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high efficiency and accuracy is crucial. This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 1-3 years of accounting experience a plus
• Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficient with Gmail, Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Windows OS
• Energetic, mature, positive person who thrives on working independently
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision
• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of employee and company information

Nice To Haves

• Experience with collections, NetSuite, and Salesforce a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee and analyze AR aging report monthly and build reporting functions for IXL and its subsidiaries
• Proactively contact customers by phone and email for prompt resolution of overdue invoices
• Follow up with customers on a bi-weekly basis and ensure active communication to prevent disruptions in service
• Identify customer patterns and build processes to prevent future issues
• Review purchase orders, sales contracts, and quotes for any potential discrepancies
• Reconcile internal sales database and NetSuite on a monthly basis
• Manage and resolve customer inquiries via email and phone in a timely and professional manner
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Benefits

• Base hourly rate for this full-time position is $31.25 to $36.00 per hour + benefits
