Our program has been at the forefront of advances since performing the world's first successful BMT in 1968. Our teams have performed more than 6,000 BMTs since that time. Our BMT Program continues to thrive as one of the most respected BMT research and treatment programs in the world. What you will do as a Collection Lab RN: The Collection Lab RN manages central lines for patients in the outpatient space and delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of the ages served by the clinic. This RN performs sterile procedures such as PORT access and access to other central venous catheters to draw central or peripheral labs as part of the patient’s treatment plan pre, post, or independent of a clinic or infusion appointment. Central and peripheral IV initiation and management Order management, medication administration, and monitoring response to interventions. Recognition and intervention of emergency situations Preparing and delivering patient education Monitoring and taking vital signs, chart reviews, documentation, and phone triaging. Coordination of care with providers and care team including rooming and discharging, assessing appointments, and monitoring standards of care when needed.
