Collateral Management and Optimization - VP

We're seeking someone to join our team as a Collateral Management and Optimization - VP in ISG Aligned Operations to be the North America lead of US collateral optimization with a strong focus on reduction of asset unencumberance and balance sheet reduction. In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Manager position at Director level within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes. Morgan Stanley is an industry leader in financial services, known for mobilizing capital to help governments, corporations, institutions, and individuals around the world achieve their financial goals. In this role, you will develop staff, lead projects, and control the deployment of resources, owning management tools/methods such as work queues, checklists, depth charts, and calendars. You will set direction and expectations for your team(s), defining training plans and transferring expert knowledge to contribute to team output and development. Additionally, you will contribute to the business plan for your area, establish risk/contingency plans, and raise and address issues with urgency when required. Building and managing relationships with business unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contact points in Client or Market organizations will be crucial. You will be responsible for the daily management of the Secured Funding Team and oversight and execution of the collateralization of 15c3-3 and PAB customer protection requirements. Furthermore, you will manage Tri-party and bilateral collateral optimization and sourcing in North American markets, providing funding projections to cash management and BRM to ensure correct funding across Morgan Stanley's accounts.
