About The Position

CHE is a premier provider of behavioral health services and is the partner of choice for skilled care facilities. CHE has been operating for over 20 years and employs over 700 clinicians in eleven states of operations and in a larger population of outpatient services. We deliver a unique programmatic approach to behavioral health services and are focused on quality and compliance for facilities and in our outpatient settings. As a collaborative physician, you oversee the care provided by the nurse practitioners (NP) at a healthcare facility. NPs diagnose, treat, and monitor patients on a daily basis. The role of the collaborative physician is to review the patient’s medical records on a regular schedule to ensure the patients receive the care and treatment they need. Our State and Regional Directors will provide the day to day oversight and support for the NPs.

Requirements

• MD/DO in Psychiatry.
• Psychiatrist must reside in NJ or NY.
• Active state license(s) in NJ.
• Board Certification preferred.
• DEA license.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CHE APRN / PA in the provision of psychiatric services to evaluate and diagnose adult patients utilizing DSM-5 criteria.
• Develop a plan of care as appropriate according to APA and SAMSHA best practice guidelines, including the prescribing of psychotropic medications.
• Be available to the CHE APRN / PA for consultation and quality review meetings as required by State regulations.
• Oversee the hiring, training, and auditing of the APRN / PA and provide day to day supervision.
