About The Position
Colgate-Palmolive Company is seeking an AWS Web SysOps Analyst to join their Global Information Technology's Global Application and America's Marketing group. This role is pivotal in supporting the marketing technology platform, focusing on various cloud-based technologies including Linux, Amazon Web Services (AWS), VPC, EC2, LightSail, API Gateway, and Open VPN. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and managing AWS infrastructure, including web servers, application servers, and PDS servers, while ensuring optimal performance and security of cloud-hosted environments. The AWS Web SysOps Analyst will engage in hands-on tasks such as configuring EC2 instances, RDS instances with MySQL, and managing S3 buckets. The role requires expertise in implementing S3 APIs for data access and working within a Linux environment, particularly with Apache Tomcat. The analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate various components and designs, ensuring that all systems work seamlessly together. Additionally, the position involves supporting application development in Ruby on Rails, coordinating DNS configurations, and documenting processes to share knowledge across the team. This position also emphasizes continuous learning and technical expertise development, encouraging the analyst to take advantage of both internal and external learning opportunities. The role requires liaising with software vendors to deliver global solutions, making it essential for the analyst to possess strong communication and relationship-building skills.
