Inductotherm Corp has an exciting opportunity for a Coil Assembly - Mechanic to join our Team, onsite in Rancocas, New Jersey. A Coil Mechanic is a craftsman capable of taking raw materials such as copper and stainless tubing along with other components and turning it all into an induction coil, as specified. Position requires manual dexterity and strength to shape, cut and bend copper tube for assembly.

Requirements

  • Math skills - adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and working with fractions.
  • Ability to read measuring devices - rulers, tape measures, squares, levels, Vernier’s and formulas.
  • Mechanical aptitude - hardware sizes, plumbing fittings, tools, proper size tips for brazing and soldering sticks.
  • Possess the ability and/or knowledge to TIG weld.
  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Technical certifications or related training.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate an overhead crane, drive a forklift and electric pallet truck preferred.
  • 2+ years of medium-large assembly experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recognize and assure correct setup of coil windings.
  • Check work utilizing applicable measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, scales.
  • Setup and utilize all applicable fixtures, aids: adapt tooling to new uses or work without tooling as necessary to complete work assignments.
  • Layout, measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on material according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
  • Operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, and presses, forming rolls to cut, bend, block and form or straighten materials.
  • Using hand or power tools to trim, file, grind, deburr and buff or smooth surfaces, seams or joints of assembled parts.
  • Perform rework, repair, and modification as directed.
  • Use solvents, degreasers, abrasives and other cleaning agents to clean work prior to solder and assembly as required.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for oneself and co-workers at all times.
  • Perform general housekeeping as required.
  • Regular in attendance and able & willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime.
  • Will handle miscellaneous duties as assigned.
