About The Position

The Cognitive Performance Specialist at LMR Technical Group is responsible for training Soldiers to enhance their cognitive skills for optimal performance in training and operations. The role focuses on improving overall readiness through education and tailored training programs, working closely with the H2F Performance Team to integrate these programs with military training schedules.

Requirements

  • Experience in cognitive performance training or related field.
  • Knowledge of mental performance, exercise, and sport psychology.
  • Ability to develop and implement training programs tailored to individual and team needs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with military personnel and teams.
  • Experience in conducting literature reviews and staying current with best practices in cognitive performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with military personnel or in a military environment.
  • Familiarity with the H2F Performance Team structure and objectives.
  • Advanced degree in psychology, sports science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive, periodized education and services program integrated with BDE and Battalion training calendars.
  • Manage and provide education based on cognitive performance and tailored training programs for individuals and teams.
  • Assist and advise the CPS Program Director on mental performance, exercise, and sport psychology matters.
  • Provide information on mental performance factors in sports, exercise, and physical activity.
  • Train and educate on goal setting, performance profiling, visualization, performance development, and planning.
  • Participate in meetings to review human performance training and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the H2F Performance Team to enhance mental and human performance development.
  • Conduct literature reviews to stay current with care provision.
  • Support research in coordination with CPS PD and/or BDE PD.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining practice guidelines for service consistency across the BDE.
  • Attend required training as per guiding instructions.
  • Develop training materials for non-physical performance optimization.
  • Participate in in-service training for H2F Performance Team members.
  • Collect and report data for cognitive performance optimization to CPS PD and/or BDE PD.
  • Document work performed and recommendations in the H2F System reporting database.
  • Operationalize resilience core competencies.
  • Identify and cultivate mental skill sets for optimal Soldier performance during training and operations.
  • Recognize and address mental barriers to physical performance, focusing on stress and emotional regulation.
