About The Position

This is a remote position within the Health Analytics data Science team at Carilion Clinic. Candidates residing in specific states can be considered for remote work. The role involves performing Epic application system analysis and design, including requirements gathering, specifications, configuration, documentation, testing, and implementation of systems. The position also includes providing Epic application support, troubleshooting, training, and reporting activities, as well as support for integrated third-party applications. The individual will serve as a liaison between TSG groups, clients, and vendors, and will conduct advanced analysis of Epic application design, mentor teammates, manage projects, and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's/Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, healthcare, business or equivalent experience required.
  • Minimum of eight years of related experience.
  • Valid Virginia drivers' license required.
  • Certification/Proficiency in applicable Epic module required.
  • Additional Certifications/Proficiencies in module associated with primary Epic module required.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills (oral, written, and presentation).
  • Ability to collaborate with others, including clients and vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • EPIC Cognitive Computing Badge is a plus.
  • Data Courier experience is a plus.
  • Experience in Service Now is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Epic application system analysis and design including requirements, specifications, configuration, documentation, testing, and implementation.
  • Provide Epic application support, troubleshooting, training, and reporting activities.
  • Serve as a liaison between TSG groups, clients, and vendors.
  • Conduct advanced analysis of Epic application design and planning implementations.
  • Mentor teammates in resolution of issues and provide updates to peers, leadership, and clients.
  • Manage assigned projects and meet deadlines.
  • Conduct requirements gathering for Epic projects and requests.
  • Coordinate, plan, and conduct detailed design sessions.
  • Develop reference materials for supported applications and related technologies.
  • Facilitate a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Adhere to the application change management process.
