About The Position

The Program Coordinator assumes responsibility for the comprehensive management and coordination of the Thinking for a Change and Decision Points (T4C/DP) program within the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department. Thinking for a Change is a cognitive-behavioral-change program specifically tailored for Justice-Involved Individuals (JII). This pivotal role necessitates effective collaboration with stakeholders and program facilitators, formulation of program objectives, meticulous processing of referrals, strategic coordination of class assignments to guarantee the appropriate placement of justice-involved individuals, creation of facilitator schedules, diligent progress monitoring, and the assurance of successful program implementation. Additionally, the Program Coordinator exercises oversight in resource allocation and data evaluation to ascertain that the program attains its objectives and aligns seamlessly with organizational goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public or business administration, other social sciences, or closely related field
  • One (1) year of experience directly coordinating and administering programs or services
  • Effective techniques for working with a diverse group of individuals
  • Cognitive Behavioral Interventions and Programs
  • Developing relationships, establishing credibility and rapport, and genuinely relating to others while fostering cooperation, trust, and mutual respect
  • Effectively communicating with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing
  • Critical thinking and evaluating information to determine the best solution
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications. Specifically, Outlook, Excel and Access
  • Interact effectively with staff and a diverse population at all levels within the organization
  • Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Perform work tasks with attention to detail
  • Manage workload and meet required deadlines
  • Work independently
  • Identify issues and offer effective solutions

  • Become a trained T4C facilitator and train the trainer

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of the Thinking for a Change (T4C) and Decision Points programs including community outreach, scheduling, logistics, marketing, and resource allocation.
  • Liaise with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of program activities.
  • Facilitate meetings and trainings.
  • Review referrals to the T4C program and determine eligibility for placement.
  • Develop and implement guidelines, processes, forms, and procedures as necessary.
  • Conduct class observation to ensure program consistency and to provide coaching and feedback to facilitators.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers involved in program delivery.
  • Monitor progress and address any issues or obstacles that may arise during implementation.
  • Procure necessary resources, supplies, and equipment for program activities.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings or resource optimization.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks and metrics to assess program effectiveness and impact.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, presentations, and summaries for internal and external audiences.
  • Use evaluation findings to inform strategic decision-making and program refinements.
