About The Position

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Cognitive Analyst with a TS/SCI security clearance to support KITS and our government customer in Falls Church, VA. The Sensitive Intelligence Office seeks to develop and analyze cognitive effects in support of strategic and sensitive concepts, studies, and initiatives for CDAO and partner activities related to data, analytics, AI, Autonomy, and advanced Decision Support frameworks. Thoughtful and continuous use of intelligence, counterintelligence, and security products, practices, and services throughout the CDAO will ensure an uncompromised American advantage in AI, data, analytics, and digital services at scale. The Senior Cognitive Analytics Specialist is responsible for providing tailored and expert advice to Sensitive Decision Support Planners, to include evaluating cognitive tendencies, biases, and responses in complex national security and decision-making environments. The incumbent will conduct in-depth analyses and develop specialized courses of action to planners and decision-makers, ultimately ensuring that operations and investments focused on countering foreign adversaries are highly effective and optimized.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience and In-depth knowledge of assessing cognitive tendencies, biases, and responses in a national security, law enforcement or decision-making context.
  • Expert knowledge of quantitative and qualitative techniques for analyzing and measuring effectiveness and efficiency of cognitive activities. Must have skill in adapting those techniques to measure and improve effectiveness of associated operations, activities, and investments (OAI) targeting foreign adversaries.
  • Prefer experience within a law enforcement or intelligence organization supporting operations and activities.
  • Must have an undergraduate degree in psychology, graduate degree preferred.
  • Must have a CURRENT/ACTIVE TOP SECRET with SCI Eligibility

Nice To Haves

  • Specific experience supporting a Combatant Command J3 or Military Department Headquarters Staff and pertaining to an emerging and critical technology or capability.
  • Past experience directly supporting Sensitive Decision Support Operations.
  • Graduate of a Joint Planning Process Course or military-department equivalent.
  • Graduate of a Joint Information Panning Course or military-department equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior staff advisor to the Deputy Director for Decision Support, within the Sensitive Intelligence Office for the CDAO, providing expert and objective advice using an analytic and rigorous approach.
  • Provide senior-level cognitive analytics expertise, defining and prioritizing implementation requirements and ensuring they are practical, and easily understood by Sensitive Decision Support Planners.
  • Research, analyze, and develop profiles for key decision-makers and the ultimate sources and pathways to those key decision-makers.
  • Facilitate red teaming of sensitive and strategic concepts, studies, and initiatives, ensuring critical assumptions are appropriately analyzed and mitigated.
