About The Position

The Coffee Shop Supervisor at Jerry's Nugget Inc. is responsible for overseeing all personnel and operations within the coffee shop, ensuring exceptional customer service and high employee productivity. This role involves enforcing company policies and health standards while managing a fast-paced environment. The supervisor will also handle customer complaints, train staff, and maintain equipment to ensure a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

  • At least two (2) years food service industry experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment involving high volume production in dining, concessions, bar and entertainment.
  • Ability to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner.
  • Strong leadership skills and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Excellent analytical skills and detail-oriented.
  • Highly organized and deadline driven.
  • Effective communication skills with guests, team members, and management in both written and oral form.
  • Gaming Registration or ability to obtain same.
  • Strong working knowledge in Excel, Word, and Outlook, and ability to type 30 wpm.
  • At least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in cost control, budgeting, training, inventory control, and sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer complaints or other disputes in a fair and patient manner.
  • Regularly provide guests with personal attention through table touches and friendly greetings upon their arrival and departure.
  • Inform Executive of all relevant information and irregularities occurring in the Coffee Shop.
  • Make adjustments on Food and Beverage checks when situation warrants.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in good working order to provide a clean and hazard free work area.
  • Accomplish staff results by training employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Schedule employees in accordance with customer volumes.
  • Ensure that employees maintain proper cards (Health Card, Gaming Card, Tam Card).
  • Track and manage employee attendance on shift (absenteeism, tardiness, overtime) by completing proper documentation.
  • All other duties that may be assigned.
