About The Position

Position Summary: The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and food items while delivering outstanding customer service. This role contributes to creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for customers and supporting daily shop operations. Duties/Responsibilities: Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and prepare beverages and food items to standard recipes. Operate espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other café equipment with skill and safety. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters, equipment, and seating areas. Assist with stocking, inventory, and receiving deliveries. Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system. Provide friendly, efficient, and attentive customer service. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times. Assist with opening and closing duties. Collaborate with team members and support daily operational needs. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Skilled in operating cash registers, point-of-sale (POS), and other business technology.
  • Strong basic mathematical skills.
  • Accuracy in handling cash, making change, and processing card transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail when taking and fulfilling customer orders.
  • Ability to operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Effective time management and ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, reliability, and a positive, professional attitude.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Barista or customer service experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for coffee and willingness to learn.
