Coffee Brewing Equipment Installation & Repair Technician Do you like being the go-to problem solver on the road? Are commercial coffee brewers and beverage dispensers your kind of mechanical puzzle? At Farmer Brothers, our Revive™ Service & Restoration team is looking for a technician who thrives on field work, customer contact, and getting equipment back online fast. What you’ll do Install, repair, and remove commercial coffee and beverage dispensing equipment for a defined customer territory. Complete both planned and unplanned work: preventative maintenance, emergency calls, site surveys, and full installations. Rotate through after-hours/weekend on-call coverage to support critical service needs. Manage your van stock—maintain spare parts and tools, and reorder within replenishment guidelines. Close out every job with accurate documentation: detailed work notes, call closure steps, invoice completeness, and required customer signatures. Coordinate, schedule, and execute equipment installs with the team. Communicate promptly and clearly; share customer feedback and requests with management and cross-functional partners. Honor service-level agreements and prioritize effectively to meet commitments. When and where you’ll work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; on-call participation required, including weekends. Travel: Primarily within a 100-mile driving radius; regional travel may occasionally be needed. Must-haves High school diploma or equivalent At least 3 years of mechanical/technical experience Valid driver’s license; clean driving record Ability to lift up to 60 lbs on a frequent basis Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Comfort managing a mix of scheduled and unscheduled service work Willingness to travel within a 100+ mile radius of the branch Nice-to-haves Foodservice background Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and test meters How you’ll succeed Communicate clearly in writing and verbally Deliver great customer service and build rapport quickly Support business goals and spot opportunities to grow accounts Apply new skills on the job and work independently with minimal supervision Use sound business judgment and make timely decisions Collaborate effectively with teammates and other departments Picture this A café’s brewer goes down during the morning rush.
