About The Position

The Production Assistant is the coffee packer and make cold brew. They work as a part of the production team at their respective roastery. Our PAs help with packaging, bagging and labeling all coffee and tea to production standards. They are also tasked with assisting in our cold brew processes, general equipment upkeep, and other tasks as assigned by their supervisor. We expect all PAs to have an intimate knowledge of our products and offerings.

Requirements

• Prior experience in food product manufacturing preferred
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Hands-on, team-oriented approach to leadership
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with accountability for task completion
• Proficient in Google Suite and other digital tools
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time frequently
• Mix of standard manufacturing and retail store environments

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in food product manufacturing preferred

Responsibilities

• Accurately stamp the roast date and batch numbers on coffee bags
• Bag, seal, and label roasted coffee and tea accurately
• Assist with packing out orders, making shipping labels, and sending orders out upon completion
• Maintain the cleanliness of the roastery, parking lot, perimeter of building, storm drains, etc.
• Receiving and storing all roastery related orders as they are delivered to the roastery
• Assist with the grinding, brewing, and bottling of cold brew coffee
• Organize and maintain cold brew fridges via FIFO (first in, first out)
• Emptying, cleaning, and maintaining cold brew tanks and equipment daily
• Follow the daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
