This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) student outreach assistant for the College of Engineering- Admin at Oregon State University (OSU). The College of Engineering (COE) is actively seeking a talented student with design experience to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role, collaborating closely with our design, marketing, and communications departments on a variety of marketing and print design projects. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about learning and collaborating, unafraid to ask questions, and eager to expand their skillset by engaging in diverse projects. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience working alongside developers in an iterative product development process, contributing to the creation of responsive, user-focused digital experiences for our COE web presence.   • Marketing design projects both digital and print
  • UX/UI design
  • Illustration and motion graphics
  • Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
  • Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
  • Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
  • High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
  • Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
  • Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term
  • Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
  • Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term
  • International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered "full-time" by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
  • Experience in design - whether in an academic setting or professional, in any combination of print, marketing, UX/UI - and an interest in building skills in wide range of design areas
  • Experience with design programs such as Figma, the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience with UX/UI design, marketing, and print design
  • Familiarity with the OSU brand guidelines
  • Experience with illustration, motion graphics, or animation
