Performs general level analyses of biological samples for DNA typing in criminal casework and is a user of the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) of the DNA Laboratory as outlined in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) 'Quality Assurance Standards for Forensic DNA Testing Laboratories' (QAS) and National DNA Index System (NDIS) Operational Procedures.; and related work as required.

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a closely related scientific field.
  • Twelve (12) semester hours of college course work that must have included all of the following areas: biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology and either: statistics or population genetics.
  • 14 paid holidays in 2025.
