About The Position

Assigns accurate diagnosis and procedure codes and captures
pertinent clinical data elements on all inpatient/outpatient medical records of
discharged patients. Responsible for ensuring optimum reimbursement based on
accurate coding and for maintaining a quality patient clinical database.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPC, CPC-H, CCS, RHIT, RHIA credentials required at time of hire. Credential must be maintained.
• Computer and data entry skills, ample understanding of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 classification systems.
• Two years coding experience, while certified, coding in an acute care facility.
