About The Position

The Coding & Reimbursement Specialist at Texas Tech University is responsible for coding and billing patient interactions, managing assigned denials, and performing data entry. Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• A combination of coding and reimbursement or medical billing experience totaling two years
• Experience in procedural and diagnosis coding
• Current coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines

Nice To Haves

• Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Knowledge of current third-party billing and collection regulatory guidelines
• Prior professional customer service experience
• Experience in a collaborative medical administration environment
