About The Position

The Coding Educator 2 identifies opportunities to improve provider documentation and creates an education plan tailored to each assigned provider. The Coding Educator 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. The PCO has a strong emphasis on senior-focused primary care for members of Medicare Advantage health plans and is committed to providing personalized, high-quality primary care combined with an excellent patient experience. Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of medical coding experience.
  • AAPC or AHIMA Coding Certification.
  • Ability to guide business and leadership in process improvement.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to problem solve complex issues.
  • Must be a motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to communicate professionally and remain organized.
  • Medical record review knowledge.
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Satisfies training and development needs by researching, designing, and learning training programs.
  • Presents training and development programs by identifying learning objectives, selecting instructional methodologies.
  • Reinforces learning by selecting and utilizing training media.
  • Evaluates training and development effectiveness by assessing application of learning to job performance, recommending future training and development programs.
  • Counsel individual managers and employees by identifying learning requirements; designing an individual training or development program; coaching to improve performance.
  • Prepares training and resource manuals by identifying purpose, assembling, and composing information.
  • Maintains knowledge of instructional technologies by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
