Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in a critical care/intensive care unit.
  • ADN or Nursing Diploma.
  • Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse from the state(s) in which practicing and/or compact state license.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Other credentials may be required based on specialty and area(s) of assignment as specified by the requesting facility, state license, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Certification in specialty preferred; certifications and competencies to support care area and patient population served.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent patient care within the scope of practice as a registered nurse (RN).
  • Enhance core nursing skills and develop advanced nursing knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors through education and involvement in nursing activities beyond basic job requirements.
  • Participate in creating the foundation for the CommonSpirit Travel Program.
  • Establish practices for the CommonSpirit Travel Program.
  • Work collaboratively with a Program Director who is also a nurse.
  • Travel to facilities within one organization with a unified mission, vision, and values.
  • Receive competitive compensation, including base pay, benefits, and travel/housing stipend options.
  • Be eligible for special pay in addition to base pay (shift differential, overtime, extra shift, etc.).
  • Fulfill full-time positions with available shifts during days, nights, and weekends.
  • Complete 13-week assignments that may be extended based on business needs.
