Coder will assign ICD10 and CPT codes for hospital based visits. Evaluate medical record documentation and assign appropriate diagnoses (ICD10) and procedure codes (ICD10 and CPT) in accordance with nationally recognized coding guidelines and appropriate reimbursement requirements. Consult with medical providers to clarify missing or inadequate documentation and to determine appropriate diagnostic and procedure codes. Meet established internal quality and productivity standards. Work independently under supervision.
