About The Position

Inpatient coder with 5+ years experience working with pediatrics, NICU, PICU, cardiovascular and transplants. Must be well versed in MS DRG and APR DRG assignment. This is will be for a trauma 1 children's hospital that sees complex cases, $1M - $3M cases are not uncommon. Must be very experienced in acute care coding, trauma coding, complex medical and surgical coding especially cardiothoracic surgery and transplant procedures, and DRG assignment. Productivity is 21 cases per 8 hours shift or $1.2M coded in a day depending on how complex the case load is that day. Must be experiences with Epic and 3M 360. Project will be at least 6 month minimum likely to extend to long term. Schedule will be 8 hours a day Mon - Sun. During initial training must be available to work 8am-4:30pm CST.
