About The Position

Requirements

• Experience with Cerner and 3M encoder systems
• CPC or CCS certification preferred
• Proficiency in coding Level 1 trauma cases, including OB, LB, critical access, and community-based cases
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient coding experience

Responsibilities

• Accurately code inpatient records using Cerner and 3M encoder systems
• Maintain productivity expectations of 2.5 coded records per hour, with flexibility depending on length of stay and complexity
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate coding and documentation
• Assist in catching up with coding backlog during the Go-Live phase
