The Health Information Management Coder II is responsible for coding all patient types inpatient and outpatient in the hospital setting as directed. Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of coding experience in coding hospital inpatient and outpatient in Health Information Management Department.
  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PC coding and classifications systems.
  • Cert Coding Specialist (CCS) – AHIMA

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of 3M encoder and SoftMed Abstracting system
  • Knowledge of Cerner EHR
  • Registered Health Info Tech (RHIT) - AHIMA
