Coder/Auditor - Physicians Group

As a Coder/Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of medical coding and billing processes. This position involves performing correct coding for provider services using CPT4 and ICD10 codes, auditing services billed without prior coding review, and providing education and updates to leaders and providers regarding payer coding and documentation guidelines. You will be responsible for conducting periodic reviews and ongoing audits of claims to ensure the accuracy of coding and billing, as well as the sufficiency of supporting documentation. In this role, you will audit a specific number of records per provider as defined in the system coding audit plan and prepare audit reports for key stakeholders. You will also assist in developing action plans to address opportunities for improvement in coding, billing, and documentation. Identifying trends and educational opportunities will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will preparing and presenting educational programs related to coding. Additionally, you will assist in managing the coding and billing auditing and monitoring program, particularly in high-risk compliance areas. You may also assist with charge entry as needed, resolve denials based on coding errors, and provide training on items identified by trends. Regular and prompt attendance is required, along with the ability to work the defined schedule and any necessary overtime.
