As an integral part of a team, is responsible for continuously looking for ways to improve each guest’s experience from providing exceptional guest service to taking orders, preparing, and serving alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. Maintain stock/supplies and cleanliness of bar and equipment. Receive and process all payment methods for Lounge and bar guest checks, courteously and efficiently in accordance with hotel standards. Settle all guest checks in the computer system and maintain accountabilities for all financial transactions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Liquor Commission Card (state law requirement)
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs; respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.
  • Ensure familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards.
  • Compute basic arithmetic.
  • Ability to exert physical effort in transporting supplies and equipment (40 pounds) from storage to hand truck to restaurant.
  • Ability to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
  • Ability to reach 6 feet.
  • Ability to remain in standing/stationary position intermittently for 8 hours throughout work shift.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and acknowledge all arriving/departing guests.
  • Uses guest names at all times when known.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as may be required or assigned.
