Apply today and let the views inspire your journey with us!   Overview: At Riptide Tiki Bar, our cocktail servers play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer service to our guests. From warmly greeting patrons to offering menu recommendations, our servers ensure a memorable dining experience. They are responsible for taking beverage orders, relaying them to the bartender, and delivering finished beverages promptly with attention to detail. Additionally, cocktail servers assist with bill computation, serve light meals and hors d'oeuvres, and uphold age verification protocols when necessary. As key members of our team, they contribute to the overall success of our establishment by actively engaging in upselling and assisting with opening and closing duties as directed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Previous serving experience
  • Ability to read and write for clear communication with colleagues and guests.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to problem-solve in various situations.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in a natural environment for extended periods.
  • Physical capability to stand and move for at least 5+ hours, lift items weighing up to 50-100 lbs., and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Proficiency in using necessary equipment and maintaining visual and auditory awareness during service.

Responsibilities

  • Take beverage orders from guests and communicate them to the bartender.
  • Retrieve completed orders, garnish beverages, and serve them to patrons with cocktail napkins.
  • Compute bills accurately and process payments from customers.
  • Assist with the service of light meals and hors d'oeuvres as needed.
  • Verify the legal age of customers when required.
  • Clear empty or dirty glasses and bottles and return them to the appropriate areas.
  • Collaborate with management to perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Actively engage in upselling products to enhance guest experience.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned by supervisors.
