About The Position

A Cocktail Server's primary responsibilities will be interacting with customers by taking their orders, making recommendations, providing them with accurate bills, serving them food and drinks, processing payments, and supplying them with whatever they need in a timely manner. A Wallace Neff Cocktail Server is ideally positioned to enhance the guest experience and plays an essential role in the resort’s goal of exceeding high guest expectations and creating personalized experiences. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS: Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently. Some requirements may exclude individuals who pose a direct threat or significant risk to the health and safety of themselves, other associates or guests.

Requirements

  • Experience serving food & beverage in a fine dining or upscale establishment is preferred.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Thorough knowledge of proper steps of service.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Exude a warm and sincere approach to guest service.
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced, sometimes noisy environment.
  • Ability to provide service efficiently while conveying a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • High energy, flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to remember orders with accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the hospitality/restaurant industry in a similar position.
  • TIPs certification.
  • Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish.
  • CPR certification.
  • Previous guest relations training.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, take orders, correctly enter food and beverages into the POS terminal, and ensure efficient delivery of both.
  • Ensuring the proper age of customers before serving alcoholic beverages
  • Present food, cocktails, beer, wine and drinks in an elegant manner.
  • Cleaning, clearing tables, and returning plates and utensils to the kitchen area
  • Engage with and anticipate the needs of guests as well as your co-workers and management
  • Complete opening and closing side work as assigned and have all tables set according to standard.
  • Ensure cleanliness throughout the shift of the lounge, behind the bar and restaurant areas
