About The Position

The Cocktail Server will provide an elegant, warm and responsive service to create an exceptional experience for all guests while taking and serving food and beverage orders. The Cocktail Server will handle all financial transactions accurately and effectively market the venue throughout their shift.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position at a hotel, restaurant, or catering facility preferred.
  • Experience in fast paced, high volume atmosphere.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to read, write & speak fluent English.
  • Flexible schedule is necessary which includes but not limited to days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Position requires regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Good team spirit.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Must have ServSafe and TABC license

Responsibilities

  • Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome upon seating.
  • Guide guest through all phases of their experience in the lounge.
  • Maintain dialogue with all cultures while upholding a warm, positive and friendly persona.
  • Collaborate with bartenders and kitchen team members to ensure accuracy of all guest orders.
  • Offer item suggestions by using suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maintain table cleanliness.
  • Itemized bills correctly and efficiently secure payment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock of assigned sections, side stations, tables and POS stations.
  • Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Review identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.
  • Maintain level of professionalism that will make guest want to return.
  • Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques of all menu items; food, non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages.
  • Deliver food & beverages, including alcoholic options to guests.
  • Provide proper communication and promptly resolve guest issues.
  • Participate in in-house modeling programs, special events, banquet service functions, marketing campaigns/ advertising, and perform model/presenter tasks.
  • Pose for pictures as requested by management, appear in uniform or designated apparel for promotional activities at or away from venue.
  • Consistently follow sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by management.
  • Rotate to other Food & Beverage outlets/venues, as necessary.
  • Obtain and maintain position- required licensing.
  • Work as a team, assisting all guests’ needs and inquiries.
  • Ensure all Conrad Nashville core values as well as property and department standards are implemented and applied.
  • Bid farewell to guests, using guest’s name when known and encourage them to return.
  • Other duties as assigned.
